The secret to better results lies in your hands.

“Your grip is one of your body’s three main power sources, behind your glutes and core,” says Karen Smith, a trainer and master kettlebell instructor in Dallas. “When you can grasp a weight more securely, you transfer more energy to your muscles so they can handle more time under tension, carry heavier loads, and even produce more reps.”

All that will speed up changes in your bod and also make opening jars, lifting furniture, and carrying pretty much anything easier.

To improve your grip, squeeze dumbbells as you hold them, and practice hanging from a pullup bar as long as you can.
