Whenever a new mum tells it like it is—no “my body snapped back immediately after baby” or “I feel like I’m back to my pre-mom self” B.S. – we give major praise hands.

Following the birth of her baby girl Bodhi Soleli on July 25 (dad is Ian Somerhalder), actress Nikki Reed broke her self-imposed media silence to post a badass Instagram pic of a pretty cool acro-yoga pose with her bro.

"Hey brother stay away from my uterus." Totally normal thing to say to your brother postpartum ? Also ?cred…our Mom. She still thinks everything we do is super cool. Thanks mom. Ps This might make me feel like a badass but if you know Acro-yoga, you'll see it's really just a basic stretch. Can't do much yet, but while I wait and recover, I might as well do things that make me feel like superwoman with my big bro :). Thanks for the sweet afternoon Boog, I can't wait to get back into some serious moves with you❤️?? #Repost @nathanaugustreed ・・・ More stretches and rejuvenating postures. #Teamwork. This time with my beautiful, loving, caring sister who is now a proud mother of a gorgeous little girl. This easy pose stretches her hips, triceps and even her abdomen, which are of course still in repair mode. Of all the postures, there were a few that really felt amazing for her. This was one of them. Can you believe how amazing she looks? I swear she's already in proper shape to join me for the San Diego Triathalon next month…

And while the first thing you may notice is her seemingly flat, toned stomach just one month post-birth (jaw drop), that’s so not what this is about, as her caption shows:

“‘Hey brother stay away from my uterus.’ Totally normal thing to say to your brother postpartum,” she jokes, adding, “Ps This might make me feel like a badass but if you know Acro-yoga, you’ll see it’s really just a basic stretch. Can’t do much yet, but while I wait and recover, I might as well do things that make me feel like superwoman with my big bro :).”

That’s why Nikki rocks: She’s totally candid about not feeling back to her old self just yet. Recovery takes a while, people!

In his own post, her brother calls the pose “easy” and says it stretches her “hips, triceps and even her abdomen, which are of course still in repair mode.” Then, he makes a call for his in-shape sister to do the San Diego marathon with him next month. We’re thinking she could take it on if she wanted.
