This kettlebell workout designed by Women’s Health trainer Tatiana Lampa helps strengthen all of the muscles that support your middle, including your abs, back, and obliques.

A strong core does a lot more than just look good. It protects all your organs, contributes to good posture by supporting your spine, and allows you to move in all kinds of directions, which is helpful when you need to bend over or jump up reach something.

To work out your core, your go-to moves might be crunches and sit-ups, but it’s time you consider throwing a kettlebell into the mix for some more dynamic movement. Adding a kettlebell to your workout will force your core to work harder in order to help stabilize you as you manage the extra weight.

In Tatiana’s kettlebell workout, you’ll go through three rounds of core-activating moves like kettlebell halos and weighted sit-ups. To tackle the workout, you’ll need a light kettlebell that’s about 15 pounds, and a towel to wipe up all that sweat.
