• Miley Cyrus just showed off her washboard abs in a series of selfies on Instagram Stories.
  • The singer, 28, looks seriously toned in a bright red lingerie set.
  • Miley keeps her bod strong with Ashtanga yoga and Pilates.

Miley Cyrus seems to be all about giving lately. She just put on her first post-COVID concert in Nashville, Tennessee. To help celebrate Pride Month, the 28-year-old singer performed her upcoming special, “Stand By You,” for free for vaccinated fans, per Billboard. Here. For. It.

Fans got another sneak peek behind the scenes when Miley posted new selfies on her Instagram Story. In the photos, she’s wearing a matching red bra and underwear set in a bright red hue, but basically she’s all abs. Those abs are seriously sculpted, too.

Miley doesn’t keep her super toned bod or her fitness journey under wraps. She’s shared a lot about her fave workouts on Instagram over the years. She told Jimmy Fallon all about her love for Ashtanga yoga, a physically demanding style of yoga that focuses on strengthening the entire body.

Mastering Ashtanga poses isn’t easy. “The thing about Ashtanga yoga is that sometimes it can be really uninspiring because the teacher will say, ‘Oh, don’t worry that’s just going to take you 10 years [to get], and you’re like ‘Wait, what?'” Miley said on the show.

She’s also a huge fan of Pilates. Back in 2013, she was doing Pilates daily, reports Harper’s Bazaar Australia. Miley even built her very own Pilates studio in her home so she could get her go-to sweat sesh any time, day or night. Now that’s dedication.

Miley also sings while running on the treadmill to build endurance (nbd). She’s posted a few treadmill videos on Instagram before, like this one:

Miley has adjusted her diet to fuel her workouts and busy performance schedule, too. She’s opened up about her decision to stop being vegan. “I was vegan for a very long time, and I’ve had to introduce fish and omegas into my life because my brain wasn’t functioning properly,” she said on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. “Now I’m so much sharper than I was and I think that I was, at one point, pretty malnutritioned.”

But Miley hasn’t always had the best relationship with her body. “I stopped wearing skirts on stage, all this sh*t because after the VMAs and I had on my cute little nude bodysuit, everyone started comparing me to a turkey and putting a turkey on my outfit,” she said on Instagram Live, per Bustle. “I was just so skinny and so pasty and they kept putting me next to this turkey, and I was feeling so bad on myself that I did not wear a bikini for like two years.”

Seeing all of those negative comments helped Miley realize that she wanted to be true to herself on social media: “The worse thing that I would feel like I would be to my fans is lying or a fraud,” she said. “I felt like having this persona of being the most confident girl on the planet was actually kind of fraud because I was so insecure on the inside that in my personal life I wasn’t even wearing bathing suits and shorts.”

Glad to see things are looking up for the “Heart of Glass” singer. Keep doing you, Miley!
