It’s Gabrielle Union’s ocean, and every other boat is just floating in it. The actress, 48, is totally thriving on yet another Wade World Tour in the middle of the ocean in Italy, and posting all the evidence on Instagram.
In a new Story, she’s showing off her vacation glow, plus her take on a new viral trend. She’s sporting a black string bikini—with the top flipped upside-down. Gab is clearly living for this look, giving fans a glimpse at all angles.
Did I mention how super-toned she looks, too? She shows a sneak peek at her sculpted abs, and her defined arms are totally on display.
And here’s a second look at that flipped bikini top:
Curious how Gabrielle stays in such great shape? Part of her exercise routine is making gym time her priority. She previously told Women’s Health that she does around three 50-minute workouts every week.
In the gym, she focuses on full-body strength training moves. Gab said during each session, she does about six minutes of cardio, with three sets of two-minute cardio intervals.
“I like to mix it up so I don’t get anxiety staring at the treadmill,” she added. “Cardio could be jumping jacks, running up my driveway, side shuffles like I used to do in basketball, an elliptical, treadmill, or sled pushes.”
Gab also has an arsenal of go-to moves to tone her butt and legs, natch. “There are some old faithfuls I’ve been doing my whole life: squats and lunges,” she told WH. “They’ve never really failed.”
But you probably won’t catch her in a workout class anytime soon. “As the workout phases come and go, I’ll try everything,” she said. “Nothing, not one thing, has stuck. I’ve tried kickboxing, cardio barre, I’ve tried a SoulCycle class…I’m not a class person.”
Still, she’s open to trying new moves every now and then. “The beauty of my workouts are that they change every session and day. It really depends on my mood, what my scenes are like action-wise,” she continued. “Basically I try to stay as flexible as possible [so] I don’t get too bogged down.”
Diet-wise, Gabrielle is currently gluten-free and dairy-free. Although that doesn’t mean she never gets cravings.
“I’m gonna have a margarita—I’m not gonna get the ‘skinny margarita,’ I’m gonna get the one with all the frickin’ calories,” she told WH. “I’m gonna have a cheeseburger, I’m gonna have a pound of bacon, and then, maybe, the next day, I’ll try to pull it together. But I try not to be too crazy with it.”
Say it louder for the people in the back!
