Dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper, loves a good food reference. And lately, they’ve been all sweets. She recently extracted a “gumball-size scalp cyst” from one of her patient’s, and a “buttercream frosting cyst” from another patient’s neck. And in her latest Instagram video, she removed another cyst that looks more like a “jawbreaker” from her male patient’s cheek.
“Does anyone remember Jawbreaker candy? 🍬 #drpimplepopper #cyst,” she captioned the post.
In the video, she first uses her hands to starts squeezing the cheek cyst, making sure to ask her patient if he’s comfortable or in any pain.
“You’re good,” he reassures her as she starts her extraction.

As she squeezes, the “jawbreaker” cyst opens up, and inside is a ton of thick, white gunk that is apparently “all that skin that was tucked under there,” says Dr. P.
After she’s done squeezing out the contents of the cyst, she grabs a pair of tweezers and her surgical scissors to remove the cyst fully from the patient’s cheek.
“You’re doing awesome,” she tells the patient as she starts to snip out the cyst. “It’s almost all gone. That really looks like a rose.”
And her fans agree with her description of the cyst.
“Came out looking like a perfect flower 🌸,” one wrote.
While another said it looked more like a veggie.
“Looks like a little floret of cauliflower,” another fan commented.
