As Will Smith continues with his fitness challenge to get into the best shape of his life at age 52, no activity seems to be off limits—from barbell weightlifting routines in the gym to distance running with his friends and fellow YouTubers.
On his latest adventure in Dubai, Smith took some time off to visit what appears—at first glance, anyway—to be an upscale hotel pool for a quick swimming workout. But as he reveals in the clip, the pool actually contains much, much more below the surface.
“A friend of mine told me I had to check out this pool,” he says, introducing the video while clad in a full scuba bodysuit. “There’s something weird about it.” Smith then dunks his camera underwater to reveal a whole infrastructure of pipes and other objects surrounding a large porthole that leads into a deep, dark abyss.

“Deep dive Dubai about to go down,” he says. “Deepest pool on earth. 200 feet deep. Madness.” While Smith didn’t provide fans with an update following his diving adventure, he did take a moment to wish his son Jaden Smith a happy 23rd birthday in a subsequent post, so it’s safe to assume he made it out okay.
Smith’s various fitness-related adventures will eventually air as part of a YouTube series documenting his entire transformation. Since announcing his weight loss challenge in May, he’s also inspired several of his celebrity friends—and regular guys—to join in, including Marlon Wayans, Anthony Anderson, and Dr. Dre. No word, however, on whether or not we should expect to see Dre deep sea diving anytime soon.
