At just 16 years old, Karolina Kurkova became one of the youngest models to ever appear on the cover of Vogue. But her son wishes she was a better soccer player.
“My oldest son, he’s a soccer goalie and he would always go ‘Mom! Shoot at me!’ ” she tells PEOPLE. “I’m not a soccer player so I don’t kick hard, and he goes ‘Mom! You have to do better!’ “
The Czech supermodel, who has appeared on runways and magazine covers all over the world, loves nothing more than spending time with her two sons: Noah Lee, 3, and Tobin Jack, 9.
For Kurkova, there is “nothing more beautiful” than becoming a parent — and her children have become the inspiration behind her new collaboration with Cybex, a German lifestyle brand for parents.
“They’re a fuel for my energy, a fuel for my passions,” she says of her boys. “[I’m] just wanting to be the best person that I can be for them and for my family. They’re my inspiration.”

While becoming a mother was “the best experience ever,” Kurkova did not want to lose her own identity and style.
So when Kurkova became a parent, she paid close attention to the products she was purchasing, wanting something that, while still being functional and safe, would also fit her style and personality.
Now, with Cybex, she hopes she can help other parents maintain their identity through the line of strollers, car seats, baby carriers and accessories she helped create. Each product features a design that Kurkova and Cybex’s team worked closely together on, and one she says sends a message of “love and passion and fun” alongside a commitment to “timeless” fashion.
“We tried to create that kind of balance … me as the working woman, mother, wife that still has a style and personality,” she explains to PEOPLE. “I’m not lost in the process [of becoming a mom].”
The collaboration, two years in the making, is also eco-conscious, as the fabric in each product uses up to 31 recycled PET bottles — something Kurkova was adamant about.
As she opines to PEOPLE, creating sustainable products is “important for the future of the planet and for our kids.”
Kurkova’s new collection with Cybex officially launches Thursday, exclusively at 10 Corso Como New York, but will be available globally on March 1.
