While the usual USD$19.99 monthly fee will be waived, upon sign-up, users will be encouraged to donate five dollars to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund – a World Health Organisation initiative that’s assisting communities affected by the coronavirus crisis. This includes funding research for a vaccine, public education programs and sourcing essential supplies such as masks, gloves and protective gear. In addition, Sweat will be donating $162,000 ($100,000USD) to the cause.
“Using SWEAT doesn’t just give you access to at-home workouts, it actually connects you to our amazing global community. If you want support and kindness, you’ll find that and SO much more in our forum, where our INCREDIBLE community comes together,” Kayla captioned a post announcing the news on Instagram.
“I can’t wait for you to join SWEAT and the #BBGcommunity. When You SWEAT At Home, You’re Never Alone. ??”
As well as recipes and meal plans, the Sweat app features strength training, yoga, LISS and HIIT workouts to suit all capabilities. Want a taste of what to expect? Here’s a 12-minute workout that Kayla designed exclusively for Women’s Health.
