In her latest Instagram post, John Wick 3 star Halle Berry says she’s “lookin’ for a late night snack.” But if you ask me, the 52-year-old is lookin’ like a late-night snack in the jaw-dropping image.

Out at what appears to be a bar and clad in a ripped-up completely unbuttoned jean jacket (with no shirt/tank/bra/etc. underneath!). Berry’s taut abs are on full display—and they look seriously amazing. (One of Halle’s 2019 fitness goals was to “get bad ass banging abs” and, well, mission accomplished, girl!)

If the inspirational snap has you saying, “I’ll have what she’s having,” you’re in luck. Halle has dropped plenty of intel about her health and wellness routine over the years (her Instagram account is basically the best #FitnessFriday follow there is). First off, Halle swears by the keto diet, for management of both her weight and her diabetes.

“I think the most important part of being healthy and in great shape largely depends on what and when you eat,” Halle recently wrote in another Instagram post. “Being diabetic most of my life, I have always had to take food very seriously. So for years, I have been following the keto or ketogenic diet. I hate the word ‘diet’ so while you’ll see the word diet, just know I encourage you to think of it as a lifestyle change NOT A DIET!”

#FitnessFriday Today let’s talk about food. I think the most important part of being healthy and in great shape largely depends on what and when you eat. Being diabetic most of my life, I have always had to take food very seriously. So for years, I have been following the keto or ketogenic diet. Keto is a very low-carb food plan which actually forces your body to burn fat like crazy. I also believe it’s been largely responsible for slowing down my aging process. The keto lifestyle offers so many benefits such as weight loss, (moms that’s how we get rid of our baby bellies), appetite control, more energy and better mental performance. If you’re like me, you can possibly reverse type 2 diabetes, you’ll experience better physical endurance, better skin and also less acne if that’s an issue. And it even helps control migraines! Halle also credits keto with keeping her young—and, well, just look at her!

But a healthy diet is just one component of Halle’s lifestyle. She also sweats—regularly—putting in work with her trainer, Peter Lee Thomas.

“You can tear it up, but have someone who’s knowledgeable in the field walk you through the steps so you can actually tear it up without hurting yourself,” Halle wrote, adding that her routine includes strength training, cardio, and plyometrics.
